A little care helps preserve the plush feel and appearance of your blanket. Because our styles vary in weight and construction, the care instructions on the individual product page should always be your final guide.
Before washing
- Review the care instructions on your product page.
- Make sure your washing machine can safely handle the blanket’s size and weight, especially when wet.
- For larger heavyweight blankets, consider a commercial-capacity machine if your home washer is too small.
Washing
Machine wash on a delicate cycle. Avoid overloading the machine so the blanket can move freely and rinse thoroughly.
Drying
Styles labeled for low-heat drying
Tumble dry on very low heat. Avoid high heat, which can be hard on plush fibers.
Styles labeled “hang dry”
Do not use a dryer. Hang dry completely before using or storing the blanket. This instruction applies to our 12+ lb blanket sets and to any other product whose page specifically says to hang dry.
Important reminder
If the product page says “Do not use a dryer; hang dry,” follow that direction even if the blanket has a lighter-weight option. When in doubt, contact us before washing.
